Based on previous experience with car dealers, I dreaded looking for a new vehicle. A very welcoming young lady greeted my husband and I in the parking lot and introduced us to Troy Foate who I had spoken to on the phone a few weeks earlier. Troy was a pleasure to work with. He made the sales process so much more pleasant and was very knowledgeable and helpful. A big thank you also to Regis Fanning in the Finance Dept. We purchased our 2007 Honda Odyssey from the Hendrick group back in 2010 and have used Honda of Columbia for service ever since. Recently, with 230k miles on the odometer and a $3,000 AC repair looming, it was finally time for an upgrade. My wife was the primary driver of the Odyssey and the buyer for this new vehicle. We wanted to test drive the Passport, Pilot, and CR-V to find the right fit. Our salesperson, Troy, was fantastic—he took his time and walked her through the features and interior accessories of every model. We eventually decided on the CR-V. This was truly the easiest car-buying experience I’ve had since my very first purchase in 1974!

We recently purchased a vehicle and Zack made the process so easy and stress free! He took time to show us each vehicle we wanted to look at, pointing out the pros and cons based on our family needs. Once the decision was made he, along with Regis (in finance) celebrated with us as we joined the Honda of Columbia family. We enjoyed our experience with Xzavion. He wasn’t pushy and was very helpful on our purchase. Everything was wonderful until going into the finance office and we declined all the extended warranties. I asked the finance guy was he ready to go over the paperwork and his reply was “you can read.” Every vehicle I’ve ever purchased previously at any dealership, they go over the paperwork you. This experience was an awkward silence.

We dealt with Xzavion for the sale and Rigis for the paperwork and warranties and they both made us feel like we were the priority, corporate excluded. Xzavion, specifically, advocated 100% of our requests and concerns with his management and got 100% of our demands met first try. The comparison was like night and day between our past experience with other dealerships and this team at Honda of Columbia. No need to mention how personable and understanding they were because that's part of the profeession, but staying 5 hours late (open to close) just to ensure we get the deal we needed is just above and beyond. We can't praise this team enough, loved our trip here.

We actually showed up to Honda of Columbia right after
We actually showed up to Honda of Columbia right after adopting a one-eyed kitten from Pawmetto Lifeline, so the day was already a little chaotic. At that point we realized we might be having one of those “let’s just do everything in one day” kind of days. My husband and I originally just planned to look, but after working with Rick Martin, we ended up buying a 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander (yes…a Toyota…from Honda 😂). Rick was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely funny — we had several good laughs during the process. My husband happily let me do most of the talking and negotiating while he sat back smiling, probably glad he didn’t have to do it himself. The dealership closed at 6 PM, and we were still signing paperwork after that — and no one rushed us. Regis in finance was incredibly kind and personable and never rushed us while finishing the paperwork, even after closing. Chris, the General Manager, was welcoming and down-to-earth and clearly sets the tone for the dealership. We’d absolutely recommend Rick Martin to anyone looking for a great car-buying experience. If we ever buy another vehicle, Rick Martin will be the first person we call. All in all, that day we got a new SUV and a one-eyed kitten — not a bad day. And apparently the best place to buy a Toyota is Honda of Columbia… just make sure Rick Martin is your salesperson.

My family has been buying from Honda of Columbia since the 1990's and we have purchased 7 cars over this time period (4 Accords, 2 Civics, 1 Fit). We have always received excellent service during and after the buying process and this includes any service on our cars. During these purchases we have worked with Mr. Leroy Doby on most of our purchases. . Mr Doby is always a pleasure to work with and extremely knowledgeable and a great asset to this dealership. Mr Canaday with whom it was my first time working with on the financing of this purchase was friendly and professional and explained everything in detail and was readily willing to answer any questions we had about the financing process. They are courteous and thorough. They follow up well and kept me informed for delivery of the truck we ordered. The only issue was that the bed cover didn't arrive when or before the truck. So, I had to make an extra trip to get it out on. However, the service department was great in that installation and got me out quickly.
